Welcome to the Cricketers, a warm and friendly Freehouse Pub in the delightful setting of the Village of Weston. The Cricketers (formerly the Thatched House) is one of only two remaining pubs in the village, previously there being five. The building has remained much the same over the years and features a wooden-floored public bar, a more cosy dining area and a huge beer garden with petanque piste and children’s play area. In the winter you can settle around the open fire and in the summer the large garden is the ideal place to relax and unwind.
Weston has a long history of cricket playing and the pub is located a short walk from the village cricket ground and pavilion.
The pub contains much cricketing memorabilia and many interesting photographs of local teams – young and old!
The Cricketers offers a good range of well kept traditional ales including Fullers London Pride, Greene King IPA and a regularly changing Guest Ale. Our wine list has carefully chosen wines from around the world. A meal at the Cricketers can be enjoyed in our dining area or in the more informal bar area chatting with friends.
We have a great selection of home-cooked meals or snacks to choose from, served lunchtimes and evenings, including a separate children’s menu and of course our famous-fresh Fish & Chips. Our delicious dessert menu contains a selction of home-made desserts, icecreams and sorbets. We get busy so please book ahead if you can.
